GNSS Testing for defence and security applications

LabSat GNSS simulators offer multi-constellation and multi-frequency capabilities for reliable, repeatable, and consistent testing.

Lightweight and portable, LabSat is perfectly designed for easy recording of live-sky signals, allowing you to test your device repeatedly with a scenario that represents its use in the real-world.

Alternatively, use our SatGen simulation software to create bespoke, high-dynamic scenarios at the time, date, and location of your choosing.

Discover below why LabSat is the perfect partner for GNSS testing for defence and security applications, including:

  • Record & Replay encrypted GNSS Signals with LabSat 3 Wideband
  • Create high-dynamic scenarios for drone, aircraft and missile testing
  • Generate bespoke simulation scenarios to test in any location, including hostile environments
  • Develop autonomous vehicles and capabilities with repeatable testing on the bench

Receiver testing for all constellations

LabSat 3 Wideband can Record & Replay signals from all constellations, including restricted signals with encrypted coding. This makes it ideal for military level applications and is used by defence and security organisations across the world as part of their GNSS testing regimes.

With the ability to record three channels simultaneously and with a bandwidth of up to 56 MHz, LabSat 3 Wideband has the capacity to record military or restricted signals which are often placed on the outer edges of the public signals.

High-dynamic testing anywhere in the world

SatGen is our GNSS simulation software that allows you to create custom scenarios at any time, date and location of your choosing.

SatGen is not limited to the standard GNSS receiver restrictions of 1000 knots and/or 18,000 m, making it an ideal testing solution for high-dynamic scenarios or for testing ‘space-qualified’ receivers.

Generating scenarios in SatGen is a perfect resource when you need to test your device in locations you are unable to visit due to travel restrictions, a hostile environment, or the simple economic inefficiencies of field-testing.

Develop autonomous vehicles and systems

LabSat simulators are small, portable and battery powered, making them ideal for live-sky recording in any conditions. Its small size allows LabSat to fit easily into the most compact of spaces or even a backpack, and it is robust enough to be easily moved between locations and test set-ups.

LabSat 3 Wideband can additionally record data including dual CAN bus, RS232 and digital signals. Recorded data is tightly synchronised to GNSS signals, allowing for realistic recreation of wheel-speed and gyro data in applications such as telematics or navigation system development.

For V2X systems, braking and signalling information can be recorded and replayed alongside GNSS signals.
