Develop autonomous vehicles and safety systems

LabSat GNSS simulators are compact yet powerful, offering ideal capabilities for product development testing for autonomous vehicles and ADAS systems.

The highly portable LabSat can be used to record live sky GNSS signals, including RTK correction data, to replay on the test bench. This delivers real-world, repeatable testing from a single recording.

As an alternative to live-sky Record & Replay you can use SatGen, our GNSS simulation software, to create custom scenarios at any time, date and location of your choosing. Simply build a trajectory using user-defined commands or upload an NMEA, KML or VBO File and SatGen will generate a GNSS scenario of that route. SatGen is ideal when you need to test your vehicle or ADAS system in locations you are unable to visit or when it would be unrealistic to carry out multiple tests in the field.

Synchronise with CAN bus and video streams

LabSat 4 can record data including dual CAN bus, CAN FD, RS232 and digital signals. Recorded data is tightly synchronised to GNSS signals, allowing for realistic recreation of wheel-speed and gyro data in applications such as telematics or navigation system development.

For V2X systems, braking and signalling information can be recorded and replayed alongside GNSS signals.

A CAN bus traffic can be saved to a timestamped text file. This makes it simple to read and edit data before replay, allowing test of erroneous CAN data in a safe environment.

A Video VBOX can be used in combination with LabSat to record video of the test route. This helps to identify the effect of external conditions on your device, such as why exactly was there a drop-out or multi-path reflection at a particular point in the test, and what caused it?

Integrate GNSS RF signals into your HIL system

LabSat Real-Time+ delivers a cost-effective, low latency, compact GNSS Hardware-in-the Loop (HIL) testing solution.

In applications where a GNSS signal is required for location and timing, LabSat Real-Time+ generates a live dynamic GNSS RF signal from positional data supplied by the HIL simulator. A change in HIL simulator position produces a corresponding change in the GNSS signal, with very low latency. This allows use with driving simulators and other dynamic Hardware-in-loop simulators.
