This June we will be exhibiting at Telematics Detroit and Mobile Asia. It will be our first time at Mobile Asia, where we will be represented by our distributor Guangzhou Zeer.
At the shows we will be demonstrating how LabSat can be used to test navigation and telematics devices, as well as showing you how LabSat 2 can now be used to test devices using the new Chinese BeiDou constellation.
LabSat, the GPS simulator designed and manufactured by Racelogic in the UK, is now compatible with the rapidly expanding Chinese BeiDou constellation.
LabSat allows users to easily record raw satellite signals and replay them on the bench for testing GPS based products. Its low cost and ease of use has led to its wide acceptance by many leading OEM GPS chip manufacturers and integrators. LabSat allows for reliable, repeatable testing and the addition of Beidou support makes it invaluable for any company developing GPS based products.
Julian Thomas, MD of Racelogic Ltd, said "With 14 BeiDou satellites currently operating, and the recent release of the Interface Specification, a lot of our customers have been asking for Beidou functionality. Luckily, due to the flexible nature of the LabSat 2 hardware, we can now offer a simple firmware upgrade to existing users in order to record and replay BeiDou as well as GPS and GLONASS. We will also be supplying pre-recorded scenarios (from China and Europe) with good Beidou visibility."
In urban environments satellite visibility can be disrupted. Entering tunnels, or accessing inner-city ‘canyons’, can lead to a clear view of the sky being lost, with navigation devices subsequently providing inaccurate or distorted readings.
To tackle this, we have developed a multi-GNSS record and replay system capable of logging and applying digital data. Utilising readings taken by an inertial measurement device and wheel speed sensors, LabSat is able to replicate vehicle movement using an integrated turntable.
New software makes it even easier to simulate GPS scenarios
There are no translations available.
Making it quicker and easier for test engineers to simulate satellite scenarios anywhere in the world, our new GPS only simulation software – SatGen v2 – makes testing GPS enabled devices easier than ever.
Developed with the user in mind, this software enables you to create scenes based on generated trajectory files which can be easily replayed on any LabSat GNSS Simulator. SatGen v2 will give you the opportunity to simulate a test anywhere in the world, with position, route, speed, date and time all easily defined.
